AU Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving college and high school students at over 450 schools across the country who raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospital in their region. This student-led organization donates 100% of its profits to Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. With a growing passion for children’s health, Dance Marathon has become a tradition on Auburn’s campus and throughout the community.

You might be wondering…

What is Main Event?

Every year, AUDM hosts a 12-hour long event where the students stay on their feet through dancing, games, and entertainment in order to celebrate the total amount raised that year. Why stay on your feet for that long? To quote the first Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon’s mission statement: “We dance for those who can’t.” It is this solidarity to and connection with the cause that makes Dance Marathon an event unlike any other.

What are expectations for members of AUDM?

As a student-run philanthropy organization, AUDM utilizes FUNdraising tactics to raise awareness and donations for our hospital. Truly every dollar counts! All participants are encouraged to set and achieve personal fundraising goals throughout the year!
